More than 40 participants from Estonia gathered at the seminar on clinical research in Tartu on June 12. Researchers from the Tartu University Hospital Children's Clinic and the Tallinn Children's Hospital presented their reviews of their studies.

The quest lecturer Dr Mark Turner from the University of Liverpool presented the newly created COllaborative Network for European Clinical Trials for Children (conect for children - c4c). He introduced how the network could help the work of children clinical research.

Professor Irja Lutsar outlined the reasons why is it necessary to concentrate on ELAV (the Estonian Pediatric Research Group) and which are our possibilities to be internationally visible.

The presented topics caused lively discussion between the participants and it was wished to meet in a similar event in the future.
