The aims are (1) Describe the epidemiology of neonatal infections and their antibiotic resistance patterns and its change over time; (2) Monitor the impact of changes in practice; (3) Audit predefined infection-related outcomes; (4) Provide the rationale for / a platform for interventional studies; (5) Allow benchmarking between units and countries.
